Beeping Egg Directions:

SUPPLIES:

1 – 9-volt Battery
1 – Plastic Egg Shell
1 – Piezo Beeper: 6-28VDC 25MA. Max, (Radio Shack 273-075)
Red Wire: Common (+)
Black Wire: Single (-)
Blue Wire: Pulse (-)

1 – On/Off Slide Switch
1 – Heavy-Duty 9V Snap Connectors
1 – 8-inch Blue Wire
May require: 8-inch Red Wire and 8-inch Black Wire

DIRECTIONS:

On one side of the egg shell: Cut a hole into the shell allowing enough space to position the Slide Switch to protrude out of the shell providing enough room to turn the switch on and off.

Make the following connections:

9-Volt Battery Black Wire connects to the Center Post on the On/Off Slide Switch.

9-Volt Battery Red Wire connects to the Piezo Beeper Red Wire (Positive Post).

Piezo Beeper Blue Wire connects to the Slide Switch On-Post.

Piezo Beeper Black Wire is knotted and not used.

Attach the 9-volt battery to the 9-volt Snap Connector.

TEST the Beeping EGG by sliding the Slide Switch to the ON position. The EGG should start to beep.

FINISH THE EGG

From the inside of the egg shell:

Place the On/Off Slide Switch into the previously cut hole and attach it to the egg shell using the two bolts supplied with the switch. Be careful not to crack the shell when tightening the two bolts.

Place the 9-volt battery, Piezo Beeper and the wiring into the egg.

Close the egg.

YOUR BEEPING EGG IS NOW COMPLETE!

Please Note: If the beeping EGG is NOT LOUD ENOUGH, it may be necessary to drill a small 1/4” hole into egg shell to allow the beeping sound to escape from inside the shell. Drill this hole into the egg shell half that doesn’t have the On/Off Slide Switch attached to it.
